Chesterfield County has been recognized by the White House for its historic-preservation efforts. Through its designation as a Preserve America Community, the county is eligible for grants through the National Park Service, which oversees the program. |
Richmond lawyer Harvey Latney Jr., has agreed to pay back roughly $290,000 apparently embezzled from clients' accounts by his former administrative assistant. An 11-page reprimand made public by the Virginia State Bar last month held that Latney failed to properly supervise his clients' accounts and a nonlawyer assistant, Shelia Mae Boone. |
The second suspect in last week's shooting death of LaMoan Kahlil Hart turned himself in yesterday. Richmond police say Terrell A. Collins, 31, of the 100 block of East 15th Street turned himself in yesterday afternoon. |
