Henrico County officials today announced the results of an investigation into Saturday evening's Innsbrook office building fire.

The blaze, which destroyed a commercial building at the intersection of Sadler Place and Cox Road, has been ruled accidental in nature.

Capt. Chris Buehren said investigators from the fire marshal's office used heavy equipment to examine what remains of the two story building at 5030 Sadler Place.

"(The fire) seems to have started on the first floor and resulted from some type of electrical accident," Buehren said.

Henrico fire officials also said the building, which was home to multiple tenants, lacked both smoke detectors and a sprinkler system.

Thirty-two fire personnel and 10 trucks responded to the fire at 9:30 p.m. after receiving a call from a passerby. No one was injured in the blaze, but damages are estimated at more than $1 million.
