Crystal M. Hargrove will be crowned the 2008-2009 Miss Saint Paul's College at Coronation on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008.

Coronation, which is open to the public, will be held in the Chicago Building at the Lawrenceville, Va., college. The theme for Coronation is "An Evening of Elegance, Excellence and Reflection."

"I believe in order to get far in life, you must think, work hard and serve. I embody these traits, which make me an excellent representative for the college," Hargrove said when asked why she ran for Miss Saint Paul's College.

Hargrove is a senior majoring in business marketing. A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., she has been on the dean's list for six consecutive semesters.

While a full-time student at Saint Paul's, she works as a teller at Bank of America.

A resident of Lawrenceville, Hargrove is the daughter of Barbara Hargrove and the late Enoch Rock.
